Accessibility

Target

The target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. This is not a certification; the site has not been audited by an independent body. The items below were measured and corrected during development.

What was done

• Page content is readable with JavaScript switched off. The menu, the frequently asked questions and all links work without it.
• Keyboard use: every page starts with a "Skip to content" link, the focus ring is visible, and scroll offsets keep the focused element clear of the sticky header.
• Colour contrast was measured, not guessed: body text is 12.97:1 on the page background, secondary text at least 4.83:1. Red is used only for non-text elements such as rules, icons and the logo.
• Text can be enlarged in the browser; content does not overflow at 200% zoom.
• When the reduced-motion preference is on, animations stop.
• In forced-colours mode the menu and icons stay visible.
• Images have alternative text; decorative images are silent to screen readers.
• Pages are built for printing: interface elements are omitted and link addresses are printed in brackets.
• There are no cookie banners, pop-ups or auto-playing media.

Known limitations

• The before-and-after comparison slider requires JavaScript. That section is not published at present; keyboard support will be tested separately when it is.
• Labels in the anatomical drawings are part of the image, so a screen reader does not read them individually. Everything a drawing conveys is also written in the text beside it.
• The site has not been tested extensively with screen readers; testing was limited to VoiceOver and the keyboard.
• For Turkish content, speech quality depends on the screen reader's language pack.

Reported accessibility problems are handled in the same queue as content updates.
